Philosophy of Let Them Play

This is a time to sit back and Let Them Play. The whole idea is for coaches and parents to sit back and watch the game. Coaching to be kept to substitution breaks and halftime. We encourage lots of cheering, just no direction.

In the spirit of the tournament, the Referees will be asked:

Did the Coaches Let Them Play?
Did the parents Let Them Play?

A “Yes” response to both questions could add 2 points to your standings.

If you choose to coach during the match that is entirely up to you, you just do not gain the extra two points.

Referee Information

Referee - Pre-Game PLEASE READ!!

Referee assignments for this competition will be handled through RefCentral. 10U-14U assignments will be self-assign. 16U and 19U matches are reserved for Referee Admin assignment. If you would like to be assigned to a 16/19 match, please email [email protected].

Referees will be required to register and create an account at RefCentral before being able to select referee assignments. All that is needed to register is the email address or AYSOU ID used for AYSOU.
If you are affiliated with a team, please be sure to select the name of the team coach when creating your account (you can also do it later)
All volunteers must be registered for the current season (2024/2025)
All volunteers must have a current Eligible Risk Status
All volunteers must complete SAFE Haven, Concussion Awareness, Sudden Cardiac Arrest and SafeSport training (all available in your Volunteer portal).
All Referees will be required to be in full uniform. Missing uniform? We won't be able to use you.
Referee admins reserve the right to change the assignment schedule. This includes removing you from your assignment or changing your assignment. Please check the schedule at least 12 hours in advance to confirm your assignments.
